Who we are

Dream Team Construction LLC builds the projects that change how a house lives: whole-home remodels, additions, ADUs and complete kitchens and baths for homeowners across the Greater Seattle and Puget Sound area.

Our story

We take on the big ones

Whole homes, additions, ADUs, kitchens and baths rebuilt from the studs out. Not touch-ups, not punch lists. These are the projects where sequencing the trades and holding the budget is the whole job.

Our name says how we do it. Dream Team is the bench of veteran tradespeople we’ve built the company around: framers, electricians, plumbers, tile setters and finish carpenters who’ve each been at it twenty years and more.

And every project comes with a designer. Our design partner walks the house with you, creates a design for your taste and selects every material before demolition, which is why the finished house reads as one idea, and why our builds run faster than the pick-as-you-go approach. Design is by Suzanne Berceau Designs. See the work at @justopulencehouse.

What we stand on

Our commitment

Our commitment is to cultivate enduring relationships through unparalleled craftsmanship, integrity and diligence. With a family-oriented approach, we blend professionalism with a personal touch on every project.

Quality

Do it the way it should be done, including the parts nobody will ever see. Waterproofing, framing, backing, fasteners. That’s where a remodel is actually won.

Integrity

Honest numbers, honest schedules, honest bad news. If something goes wrong on your job, you’ll hear it from us first.

Craftsmanship

Tight miters, level lines, clean grout, doors that close the way they should. Details are the whole job.

Who shows up

A builder on every job. Veteran trades behind him.

Douglas Salazar is the builder behind Dream Team: owner, licensed general contractor, on site, on the phone, and personally accountable for every project. The tradespeople he’s built the company around have been doing this for twenty years and more. That pairing is deliberate.

You get a builder who answers his own texts, who wants every detail right because his name is on it, and who isn’t too proud to defer to a tile setter or electrician who was doing this before he could drive. Nobody on your job is learning on your house.

  • Crew leads with 20+ years in their trade: framing, electrical, plumbing, tile, finish carpentry
  • One owner as your single point of contact from walkthrough to keys
  • Whole-home renovations across King, Pierce and Snohomish, every one run by us

Who you’re hiring

It started with our own basement.

Dream Team Construction began in the basement of our first house. We remodeled it ourselves, then a bathroom, then the laundry room, then the bathroom upstairs. By the time we were finished, we were already looking for the next house.

We came into this from inside the industry, with a background in construction sales and then construction management, so we knew how projects are supposed to run and where they usually go wrong. What was new was building alongside a designer from day one. Suzanne designed, Douglas ran the work, and the results were better than either could have produced alone. That partnership has been the model for every project since.

The lesson from that first basement is still how we run every job: construction is a team operation. A remodel is a dozen trades who all have to show up, in the right order, and do their best work. Building that team, with long-standing relationships with the framer, the electrician and the tile setter, and a job site they want to be on, is the core of what we do. It is what “Dream Team” means.

Today the roles are the same. Suzanne leads design as Suzanne Berceau Designs. Douglas runs the build: the trades, the schedule, the materials and the logistics. Between the two, nothing falls into a gap, and you always know who to call.

What sets us apart is that we are a family business in the fullest sense. Our trade partners are the same people, project after project, because we treat them as part of the team rather than as a line item. We extend the same to our clients. We are not looking to do one job for you. We are looking to be the builder you call for the next twenty years.
